Our Story

Netherseale Lawn Tennis Club has been running since 1929, but the lawn in our title is a little outdated as we now have four good quality all weather floodlit tennis courts. These are complemented by a superb clubhouse which was opened in 2007.

We are a family club with a friendly atmosphere which will assure you of a warm welcome as we are always keen to involve new members. We have all types of players from beginners to experienced, young to not so young, in fact, players from all sections of the community.

If you love competitive tennis we have inter club matches, our club tournament and our in house winter league. The club teams are very successful at all levels of the local league ensuring a regular haul of trophies.

On the other hand you may want to just come along on club night (Tuesday evenings 7.30pm), join in with the other social tennis activities or play against friends and family. If you want to improve your game why not book lessons with our qualified club coach?

There is also a lively social scene for those who want to relax after a hard game or unwind after a hard days work, in the club bar.

Croquet Lawn & Table Tennis

Following a catastrophic fire in 2004 our club house was re-built by members and completed in 2005.  It is a fantastic facility that we are all very proud of.  The club house plays host to numerous events across the year and features  lounge area, a fully licensed bar, toilets and changing room.  Ample parking is available at the neighboring village hall and on the road.

Our recently resurfaced all weather courts benefit from unrestricted LED flood lighting allowing for play to continue into the small hours and long into the winter months!  Members also have use of a rebound wall and ball machine.

The club also benefits from a lovely croquet lawn, which is available for use during the summer months and in the winter we also have table tennis.  A word of warning, it gets a little bit competitive!

Coaching Fees for non-members

A coaching fee of £20 per annum will be payable by all those having regular coaching at the Club who are not full members of the Club. Payment of this fee will enable them to have use of the Courts whilst being coached by Richard and also on the few occasions when Richard is unable to be present for coaching. It will also enable them to have use of the Clubhouse facilities whilst being coached.

There will be no coaching fee for anyone under 18 years of age.

A coaching fee of £1 per person per session will be charged for those being coached on an irregular or short term basis.

LTA Youth

Our LTA Accredited coach runs courses for children aged 4–18, packed full of fun games and dynamic training. We want kids to bring all their energy to tennis; no 'quiet please' needed here.

Key points:

Although we've assigned ages to each stage, this is just a guide

+

We understand kids want to play in groups and with their friends, so whatever stage they start at, all kids will see progression

+

At every LTA Youth stage, kids will be active, having fun and developing skills!

Specialist coaches will make sure every child has the best start to their tennis journey in a safe and inclusive environment. Sessions cater to all abilities, so no one gets left behind.
